Another Legong dance

For now, I stay with Bali dance Legong, when it comes to my paintings about Indonesia. The first one was about Legong and Bali in general but here we turn to the specific dance - CANDRAWASIH DANCE or "birds of paradise". Our main figure is a Legong dancer dressed in a traditional dress for this specific dance imitating the movements of the birds of paradise. On her dress, I've painted flowers of a similar color that I've seen in Bali. Around our dancer we can see another flower that is called the birds of paradise.

This dance was the most appealing to me as I have a special love for birds. Maybe it's that they look so free and above it all... and I guess we all want to feel like that.
