CLEOPATRA

Inspired by a wonderful leader and a very wise woman. Cleopatra was a very educated woman that knew medicine and science, but become known for her affair. Here she is surrounded by a plant of papyrus which is a symbol of wisdom. Her dress is like waves of river Nile, over her head is the sun and in between them is a pyramid, behind her hear - all of them make Egypt.

Looking through pictures of jewelry, reliefs, sculptures.

The texture of Cleopatras hair is alike the one on the sculpture and she is mostly shown with the vulture crown. On the right side of Cleopatra, we see hieroglyphs that mean CLEOPATRA that you can see in reliefs and papyruses where Cleopatra is displayed.

In her right hand she is holding Ankh, symbol of life that is often in a hand of a pharaoh. They may carry it in their hand or hold it up to the nose of the deceased, breathing in eternal life. For the jewelry that decorates Cleopatra, I found it in a book about her. The earrings were the most interesting to me that have the shape of the crown of a pharaoh.
